Green Shield Fire began not in a laboratory. It began as a personal effort to find safe fire-safe gear for Trinity’s fiancé, Christian, a wildland firefighter, soon uncovered a much larger problem. Even when the fire is out, PFAS chemicals from modern fire suppression systems can remain behind in the air, soil, and environment. Those early conversations in the kitchen became the beginning of Green Shield Fire’s mission to pursue safer fire suppression solutions.
Watch Trinity introduce the vision behind Green Shield Fire and the exploration of regenerative fire suppression concepts.
Trinity and her fiancé Christian, a wildland firefighter, are Oregon-based innovators driven by a shared concern for both firefighter safety and environmental responsibility. Trinity’s background spans clinical esthetics, caregiving, equine management, and environmental systems thinking, while Christian brings firsthand wildfire experience from the fireline itself. What connects their experiences is a deep awareness of ingredients, biological systems, and the long-term impact materials can have on people, wildlife, and living ecosystems.
Early on Trinity had cause to be hyper conscience of cosmetics and the philosopy was born; "if I can't eat it, I don't want it on my skin." Working in clinical advanced esthetics shaped Trinity’s perspective on chemistry and ingredient transparency. Years spent evaluating what people absorb through their skin evolved into broader questions about environmental toxicity, ecological persistence, and the hidden long-term costs of conventional systems.
GSF inovative flormulation challenges old assumptions about fire supression. This inovation is fueling the next chapter of firefighting using materials withoout PFAS or F3
Christian and Trinity believe protecting communities should never come at the expense of firefighter health or the environment.
